Jet2FlightPath Pilot Assessment

The Jet2FlightPath pilot assessment is a demanding process in which you will have to demonstrate your core pilot competencies. The selection stages include:

Stage 1 – Online

• Application Form – includes a 500 word motivational question to show your personality and desire to join the training programme
• Cognitive assessments – an assessment of your behaviours
• Ability assessments – numerical, verbal and physics reasoning
• Pilot aptitude assessment – hand eye coordination, multitasking  & more
• Motivational assessment – an assessment of your desire become an airline pilot and member of the Jet2 team, hosted by one way video interview

Stage 2 – In Person

Our experience of preparing pilots for Jet2 in person assessments is second to none. It’s our expectation that you will undertake the following:

• Group exercises
• Competency interview

What about Video Interviews?

One way video interviews are becoming a common assessment tool for airlines. You will be presented with some motivational questions about your desire to become a pilot and work for Jet2. You might be asked a competency question such as “give an example when you have delivered great customer service”. The key to video interviews is to:

• Be prepared and think of questions you might be asked.
• Practice answering those questions by recording yourself on your mobile device beforehand.
• Find a quiet room with no distractions.
• Dress smart!
• Smile and speak with enthusiasm.

What is a Group Exercise?

Group exercises are a key part of any airline pilot assessment, because they provide recruiters an opportunity to assess a wide range of behaviours and your suitability to work within a flight crew team. Our guide to group exercises is a great place to start enhancing your knowledge!

What Interview Questions Can I Expect?

Historically Jet2 pilot interview questions have always been focussed about your knowledge of the company, motivation to work for them and those that allow you to demonstrate your core competencies. Examples being:

• What is the difference between Jet2 and Jet2Holidays?
• What are our core company values?
• Why do you want to work for Jet2?
• Give an example of when you changed a colleague’s mind (communication, knowledge and leadership)
• Give an example when you have demonstrated two of our company values?
